Sun in Pisces 2025

From 9pm AEDT Tuesday 18 February 2025, the Sun in Pisces has the potential to promote more sensitivity and kindness, compassion and empathy towards others. This softer, reflective form of solar energy is ideal for engaging your intuition and your imagination. Be careful of the shadow side of this energy. This can lead to illusional thinking or an escape from reality. Benefits are available to those who can harness this magical, imaginary energy in their creativity and apply it to their spiritual practice.

The potency of reflective practices will be enhanced as three ‘personal’ planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars) change direction during this update period. On the days that these planets ‘station’ before changing direction, their energy will be more intense and internalised. Remember to use mindfulness practices or a walk in nature to comfort yourself if your emotions become too heightened at these times.

First planet changes direction

The first planetary direction change occurs on Monday 24 February.. It will impact feelings about family and protecting the people we love (Mars direct @ 17Cancer00). If this impulse has been stalled since late last year, it will start flowing again (Mars retrograde 7 Dec 2024 @ 6Leo10). This is a constructive day for making plans about family or community matters (Moon opposite Mars). The next day 25 February is ideal for working with people who share your ideals and dreams. This is also a good time for thinking about how your imagination interacts with the cycle of life, birth and death (Moon/Pluto; Mercury/Saturn).

The New Moon in Pisces (09°Pi40′ D) on 28 February increases the focus on feelings as a means of lifting us into higher consciousness. This is an excellent day to read poetry, play music, paint, draw, swim, or dance. Let yourself soar beyond everyday consciousness and touch into ‘otherworldly’ realms on this dark moon. Second planet changes direction

As the second planetary direction occurs on Sunday 2 March, relationships and the place of harmony and justice in our lives come under scrutiny (Venus retrograde @ 10°Ar50′ until 1 May 2025). During this period, you may prefer to do things alone as a way of reducing frustration and preventing other people from impeding your plans. The value of relationships in your life will be questioned, especially if there is disharmony. Finding a balance between cooperation and self-interest could be challenging.

Confusion or deceptive dealings on 3 March could cause tension, especially if you have been under a misconception or misunderstanding. There could be uproar in social media with an increase in aggression and nationalist thinking (Mercury/Neptune 28°Pi57′ D; Sun square Jupiter; Mercury into Aries). This escalation in combative attitudes will eventually be controlled on 12 March (Mercury/Venus R; Sun/Saturn). Sensitive issues are at stake and feelings run hot. Try to cool your temper with a swim or a shower.

Third planet changes direction

The third planetary direction change on 15 March will affect our capacity for progressing transactions and contracts. This includes travel and communication (Mercury retrograde 09°Ar35′ R). During this period, it could be useful to step back and think about what has happened over the past four months. Undertake a thorough review of your goals. Draw conclusions that will inform how you proceed in the next four months.

On Thursday 20 March, there could be a sense of finality about something that began in March 2023 (Sun/Neptune 29°Pi36′ before leaving Pisces at 8pm). If you have been working in seclusion on a difficult job, it could be time for you to emerge from solitude and share your findings with the world.
