What personal data we collect and why we collect it
As part of our work together, we may need to collect information from you in order to provide the best service possible. All correspondence may also be collected and stored, particularly in regard to sales, support and accounts, including email. Any information collected by astrotessa.com is collected via correspondence from you or your company. This may be via the telephone, email, mail, or directly through forms on our website.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
Any personal data you enter in the contact form is captured when you submit the contact form. We keep this information for a certain period for customer service purposes, but do not use the information submitted for marketing purposes.
Subscription forms

Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Any details collected from clients is required in order to provide you with our products and/or services, and a high level of service. Correspondence is recorded in order to provide service references and to assist in our staff development. Your data is not shared with any third parties and your privacy is key to us.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Storage of collected information
The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers) on our website, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Credit Card details are passed on directly to Paypal who process our payments as required. We never permanently store complete Credit Card details.

What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Credit cards details are entered on our third party site, Pay Pal. You can view privacy policy statements for PayPal, WordPress and Woocommerce and MailChimp, who we use for our newsletters.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service, using Google recaptcha services.
Orders
When you purchase a product or service from us, we usually request certain personally identifiable information from you as part of our service. You may be required to provide contact information (such as name, email, birth details and postal address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). We use this information for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you. Communications uses personally identifiable information for essential communications, such as emails, accounts information, and critical service details.
We may also use this information for other purposes, including some promotional emails. If at any time a customer wishes not to receive such correspondence, they can request to be removed from any mailing lists by emailing us at tessa@astrotessa.com
